I am very saddened to report that former Lightweight Champion (my friend) Mando Ramos has passed away at his home in San Pedro.

He was 59 years old and the youngest ever to win the lightweight crown. (2-18-69)

He regained it almost “exactly” three years later (2-19-72).

There is more – but I need my space today to grieve with this. My most sincere prayers are with his family. May God bless his soul in heaven!
