Wanting to give Southern California fight fans something no other promotion is giving, and to say thank you for the eleven straight Fight Club OC sold-out shows over the past two years, Fight Club OC announced today the Inaugural Fight Club OC Championship Tournament that will kickoff on Thursday, February 16th the Opening Night of the 13th season of Fight Club OC. The Fight Club OC Championship Tournament will see Championship Semi-Final Bouts, a Championship Bout and a Championship Belt awarded at all the Fight Club OC shows in 2023. This tournament will also give young Southern California boxers the opportunity to win a championship belt early in their careers.

Here’s how it will all work, At each Fight Club OC show two semi-final bouts of the same weight will take place. The winners in these two bouts will come back at the next Fight Club OC show to fight for a Fight Club OC Championship Belt. And at that same show another two semi-final bouts will be staged with those winners coming back at the next show. So, Fight Club OC fans will always have two semi-final battles and a Championship Bout at each show. Now you can see why Southern California fight fans have labeled Fight Club OC shows “the most fun you can have on a Thursday night in Orange County”.
The Inaugural Fight Club OC Championship Tournament will kick off on Thursday, February 16th with two semi-final bouts in the Lightweight Division that will see Juan De Dios Avila, facing Andres Gerardo and Darynn Leyva facing Percy Peterson.
“While the boxer’s records are important, I felt that the action that our boxers will deliver, battling for a beautiful belt, is just as important and will give our fans the excitement they want,” said Englebrecht.
