In Rusty’s Corner

How do you figure Jermain Taylor? He has the fight against Carl Froch won with less than a minute to go, and winds up getting TKO’d with 14 seconds left in the fight.

Does the fact that he was leading at the time of the stoppage restore his confidence or does the TKO hurt? Once again, only time will tell.

This week Manny Pacquiao takes on Ricky Hatton in Las Vegas, in a fight that may be more hype than action. You know what you can expect from Pac Man, and add to that his looking ahead to a big money match-up against Mayweather; you can have a fantastic bout.

Hatton is older, slower and more predictable. He can bring it, and Pacquiao is not the type of fighter that will back down.

If Hatton lands a heavy blow early on and slows the Filipino native down, he can score a TKO midway – late.

But don’t hold your breath on that happening. Pacquiao is a non-stop machine that keeps getting better with age.

Pacquiao by a TKO somewhere mid-fight.
