The bout was never in doubt from the opening bell, as the unbeaten Kovalev dominated every second of every minute of every round.  Kovalev dropped Mohammedi with a series of right hands in round two and finished him with right / left combination in round three.

In the co-feature, former WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal (30-3-1 / 17 by KO) won a controversial ten round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten former Cuban national team member Yuniesky Gonzalez (16-1 / 12 by KO).

The fight produced tremendous action with vicious punches, with Gonzalez the aggressor landing more power shots, but Pascal being more accurate.

Harold Lederman from HBO, scored the fight 97-93, and my unofficial score card was 96-94 for Gonzalez.  All three ringside judges saw it the same, 96-94 for the winner Pascal.
