WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (35-0 / 34 by KO) successfully defended his title with an eleventh round stoppage over a rugged Johann Duhaupas (32-3 / 20 by KO) in his home state of (Birmingham) Alabama.

Although Duhaupas pressed the action, it was the harder hitting Wilder scoring in every round with bigger punches.

Duhaupas best round was round five, but it was clearly Wilder who was the better fighter, winning every round before referee Jack Reiss finally called the one-sided affair at 55 seconds into round eleven.

I personally don’t think he is the caliber of heavyweight champion, the one with all the other belts, Wladimar Klitschko.  I would recommend that Wilder and his people take a few other bouts in between to add to his resume before any bout to unify the heavyweight championship!
