This coming Thursday, October 10, 2019 Fight Club OC will return with our unique hybrid show consisting of pro boxing and pro MMA to The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center! This six bout event is sure to feature crushing KO’s, split-second submissions, and the kind of combat sports experience you won’t get anywhere else in the Orange County. The second to last Fight Club OC show of 2019 takes place on Thursday night in Costa Mesa, CA with tickets available at www.socafights.com
All seats can be had for the very low price of $60.
Headlining the boxing side will be Maywood’s Jose Casillas 2-0 (2KOs) vs. Lake Elsinore’s Jorge Porras 0-2-1. Do not let Porras record fool you! He is a crafty boxer and he promises to not be fazed by the heavy-handed Casillas. Their four round featherweight bout is expected to be a hotly contested war. Fight Club OC is known for its headliners closing the show and Casillas and Porras plan to follow in that rich tradition!
MMA fans are in store for a war when Covina’s Javier Garcia 4-3 takes on Laguna Hills’ Geoffrey Mellor 1-0. Mellor made his pro-debut under the Fight Club OC banner, and he looks to improve to 2-0 vs. Garcia. Garcia brings a bigger record and he plans to crash Mellor’s second party at The Hangar. In fact, Garcia made his pro MMA debut with a crushing submission of Craig Plaskett at The Hangar in 2016. Sounds like all the ingredients for a great, 3 round featherweight bout, right?
Up and coming boxer Donte Stubbs 4-0 (1KO) from Riverside brings back his slick style to Fight Club OC. He’ll be taking on veteran Derion Chapman 3-5-1 (2KOs) from Los Angeles. Chapman has the experience that Donte Stubbs wants. Stubbs has the “0” that Chapman says “must go”! Expect a highly entertaining 4 round, super welterweight showcase from these two warriors.
Murrieta’s Seth Davis will be making his pro MMA debut vs. Redlands Brandon Fields who is also debuting. This 3 round, welterweight bout is sure to raise eyebrows. Davis and Fields are looking to impress. Neither fighter has tasted defeat or victory as a pro. The hunger they bring will be palpable inside The Hangar making their bout one not to miss!
Esteban Munoz from San Bernardino makes his pro-debut in a 4 round, welterweight bout against San Jose’s Edgar Guizar 1-0 (1KO). Guizar brings a lot of pop to this bout. How will the debuting Munoz cope with that as he begins his journey in the pro ranks? Something tells us this will be a war for as long as it lasts!
Opening the show in a 4 round, 143lb. bout will be Stephen McKenna. McKenna is a fan favorite at Fight Club OC. He’s got a huge following in his hometown of Monaghan, Ireland but Costa Mesa, CA has embraced him as one of our own. McKenna is as sharp as a prospect comes and his bouts are ALWAYS explosive. Get to The Hangar early to see all the action!
Tickets are still available at www.socafights.com with all seats priced at $60! This show WILL SELL OUT, so get your tickets today, and we’ll see you this week at Fight Club OC!
