This edition of “Pages From The Scrapbook” features two article pieces – my pre-fight (dated: November 9, 1981) on the Marvin Hagler vs. Roberto Duran for the “undisputed” middleweight championship … and, a post-fight (dated: November 11, 1983) by Dave Kohl, Sports Editor / Santa Barbara News Press, on the large gathering we held at my home to watch the fight.

Many of my readers don’t know that back in the seventies, eighties, and nineties, I was a boxing beat writer for my local newspaper, the Santa Barbara News Press, doing fight predictions and other related pieces.

It was certainly a blessing, as I experienced first hand the journalism field in those early years, and which has helped me to be the best I can be in producing dmboxing.com today.
